Our 18K late Victorian buckle ring is hallmarked Chester (for the Chester guild in England) for the year 1910. This means we can identify the ring is being made in exactly that year. We love this ring for its modern, clean design and easily wearable for all daily activities. Buckle rings were popular in the Victorian era. As it was the Queen's order, Victoria wore the symbol of the garter in the form of a buckle bracelet or buckle ring on her arm, as she obviously could not show the garter on her leg. The garter symbolizes fidelity and eternal love. The ring is 1/3 of an inch in width, size US 9 3/4 and weighs 7 grams.
